Located in the Bicentennial Park, in downtown Medellín, the Casa de la Memoria Museum is a place dedicated to honor and make visible the stories of the victims of the Colombian armed conflict. Inaugurated in 2012, this museum seeks to contribute to the understanding and overcoming of the various forms of violence that have affected Medellin, Antioquia and Colombia in general.
The museum offers permanent and traveling exhibits that address issues related to the armed conflict, human rights and historical memory. It also organizes cultural activities, workshops, conferences and artistic events that promote dialogue and reflection on the importance of memory in the construction of a more just and peaceful society. .
